Requirement for Superset Consulting A major financial services firm sought to transition away from an industry-leading proprietary BI solution for one of its key products. Their goal was to migrate to an Open Source alternative, specifically Superset, to achieve significant reductions in license costs.
Deliverables NobleProg engaged in several project meetings with the client to thoroughly understand their requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Based on these discussions, we developed a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and track project progress. Our lead consultant focused on aligning the existing data architecture with the specific reporting needs for each report type. We proposed optimizations to the data stores to maximize the utility of Superset while ensuring peak performance, and provided hands-on guidance to the team implementing these changes. After optimizing the data store and pipeline, our consultants began constructing and deploying a wide range of reports based on both existing requirements and new business and customer requests. To meet specific data presentation needs, custom plugins were developed to enhance interactivity, including features such as drill-down capabilities.
Outcome Our consultants have continued to build new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is transferred to the client organization for long-term maintenance of dashboards and reports.
The project remains ongoing and has been highly regarded by both the client’s business units and their end customers. As a testament to its success, the initiative has been expanded to include additional products and end-user groups.
