Superset Data Visualisation and Dashboard Consulting Requirement
A major financial services firm sought to transition from an industry-leading BI solution to an Open Source platform (Superset) for one of its key products, aiming to achieve substantial savings on licensing costs.
Deliverables NobleProg engaged in multiple project meetings with the client to thoroughly grasp the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Based on this understanding, we developed a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and monitor the project. Our lead consultant focused on aligning the existing data architecture to meet the reporting needs for each specific report type. To ensure optimal performance and effective use of Superset, the NobleProg lead consultant recommended adjustments to the data stores and provided guidance to the team implementing these changes. After optimizing the data store and data pipeline, our consultants began building and deploying a range of reports, addressing both existing requirements and new requests from the business and customers. To present the data as requested, custom plug-ins were developed to enable more interactive data presentation, including features like drill-down capabilities.
Outcome The consultants have been developing new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is embedded within the customer organization to maintain these dashboards and reports. The project is currently ongoing and has been well received by both the customer's business unit and their end clients. To highlight the project's success, its scope has been expanded to include additional products and end clients.
